Dr. Doppler has returned to his loft...which is a great deal cleaner than when he had left it. Apparently Gray did not take kindly to the clutter, and so neatly organized the contents of the room. Once his father learns the method of organization, he should be able to find anything he needs.
At present, the doctor is sitting in his much-abused wooden desk chair, working at the drafting table. He's donned a freshly pressed labcoat, and his hair and beard are back to their usual neat appearance.
Overclock doesn't knock--doesn't usually. But Doppler will probably know he's coming anyway, especially when the door opens, since one can hear him coming. "Evening, Doctor. Feeling any more at home?"
He seems...almost cheerful, that, or his anger from the previous nights has been more forcefully subdued.
Eisensturm, oddly enough, is not in the room. Therefore Doppler is not alerted to Overclock's presence until the door begins to open. He swivels the chair just enough to look at his visior. "Good afternoon, Overclock. Yes, yes...it is good to be back."
Overclock, his visor up, looks Doppler up and down for a second as if gauging him. "Well. I let it go for a couple days 'till you got back in. But. I wanna take a look at your implants. After that... I won't muck with them again unless there's a problem." He sighs, resigned; he almost doesn't want to do this, just, that he must.
Dr. Doppler's brow furrows somewhat. "I am tired of being poked and prodded. I feel like a science project." He begins to turn back to the table. "They are still working, or else how am I talking?"
Overclock walks up, reaching for the medical scanner that's manga-clipped to his side. He's gotten used to bringing it along when he wanders up here (and is reminding himself to get some advanced-scan capabilities installed in his cybernetics so he doesn't have to). "Yes, yes, I know they're working. And I hate doing this too, man, I'll be honest with you. But I gotta see what the RF did, if anything. If nothing else...you can understand professional curiosity. Right?" A pause. "You wanna tell me what they did?"
Dr. Doppler stifles a disgruntled sigh and stands up, snatching his cane from the windowsill along the way. "They tried to clean me of the Virus. Your scans should tell you they failed." He makes his way over to the bed, so that he may lie down for this latest examination.
Overclock has weird suspicions about this.... maybe it's just that they gave him back so suddenly. Not that he understands how General's mind works in the first place, though, so, he does what he has to. And he starts, even though Doppler won't like it, to detach the outer plating on his head. "I gave Matthews a new patch-chip. It wasn't major. Did they need it, or did they not bother?"
Dr. Doppler anticipated this, and so lies on his stomach so that Overclock can more easily access the back of his skull. "I do not think they bothered. I was...distracted then."
"Right. I know you are. Which is why... I wanna look. Maybe you don't remember everything they did." That seems pretty reasonable, really, Overclock thinks, as he removes the plate...sets it aside, and, then, just peers in to take a look, first-off. Looking is, in fact, even a matter of ego. If they DIDN'T tamper with anything, Overclock will be much happier than, if he discovers they replaced everything with their crap just because they could.
There are signs of recent surgery - someone very neatly replaced the access plate, but there is the tiniest bit of fluid seepage around it. Harmless, not unusual, but should not be there if someone hadn't been poking around. The three fingernail-sized implants are still attached to the brain as they had been before. The only unusual thing is that they appear to be a slightly different color. Of course, that could be a trick of the light.
Doppler grunts softly, but says nothing.
Overclock squints. And, using the minor optical implants that he has, he zooms in on the work to get a closer look. Maybe everything WAS replaced. (I won't be upset, I won't be upset, I won't, I won't.)
The chips are exactly the same - the serial numbers match, should Overclock compare. However, they are much much cleaner than they should be for having been implanted two months ago. The organic scaling over them looks only a few days old at most. There is also a very thin film over the chips' non-contact surfaces, just thick enough to cause the light to refract differently.
Overclock wonders...if someone is trying to put one over on him, but, apparently, everything was removed, refinished, and replaced.
That made sense in a way, if, they were trying to mess with it. They probably would have pulled on everything. It's no wonder Doppler is ticked.
The other cyborg zooms out again, and picks up his scanner, scanning for electronic and viral activity.
Dr. Doppler continues to lie there, giving an irritated sigh. He says nothing for now, so as to not disrupt anything that Overclock is doing outside his line of sight.
The electronic scan reports that the implants are functioning normally. In fact, one of the chips is working slightly better than it did before. A few percentage points, but enough that his language skills have been given a small boost.
A Viral scan reports...nothing.
Overclock blinks at the readout. Blinks again. It takes him a few minutes. "Oh. I see."
Then, he just starts, kind of eerily calmly sealing things back up again. "You're right. It works. If you don't remember who did the tweak on the second, I'll try to give them my regards later."
"I trust that anything you found will be kept confidential," Doppler says. On the surface, the tone is pleasantly neutral. But there is a distinct undercurrent that suggests that Overclock's answer had best be 'yes'.
"I didn't find anything," says Overclock mildly.
Truth is. He has no idea how he feels. He's torn between ripping Doppler's head open, and taking all of Repliforce out for a beer in celebration.
"Good." Doppler continues to lie still until the plate is back in place and the flap of synthskin and hair replaced. He lies there for a few moments more. Even if there are no pain nerves in a human brain, having it exposed is still a disconcerting experience. "The rest of my health?"
Overclock puts everything back together with an almost stiff, and very professional, neatness. It's almost uncharacteristic of his work, though he does tend to be as careful as possible with the human brain. "Your health is fine. Try not to wander off too far, though. Or if you do, at least let me keep a couple of the resulting gradeschoolers."
Dr. Doppler gives a smirk at that. "Yes, I am sure the Emperor will want to keep me close."
"He sure as hell will," says Overclock, taking a step back. "Okay. We're done. I'll clear you."
Dr. Doppler pushes himself into a sitting position, but does not stand yet. "Thank you, Overclock," he says, closing his eyes. It takes him a moment to readjust. He's been a cyborg for over half of his life, but he still hasn't grown accustomed to his brain being prodded. "When do you think I will be able to retake some of my duties?"
"I'd honestly recommend as soon as you feel ready. As soon as is possible. With Repliforce moving in just about everywhere, still, people are edgy; we all like having you as...help." He clears his throat. "Do have some good news. Wire and I are constructing a reploid. You probably saw it downstairs."
"Is that what that was?" Doppler asks. He frowns slightly, "Hm...where is Gray? I hope that you were not too upset with him."
"No. But I haven't talked to him, much, either. Saw some of your notes for him, though. Sorry, in advance, for going through your things. I guess he, or somebody, cleaned up around here lately." Overclock walks over to a chair and just has himself a seat for a moment. "What's his prime function, anyway?"
Dr. Doppler pauses for a moment. "I....don't remember. I had almost finished him. Then Sigma..." He begins to shake his head, but thinks better of it. "The Emperor needed me." He gives a small smirk. "Yes, I imagine my lab was a mess." And if Overclock had been rifling through it, he would have found that all of the plans for Emperor's New Form were torn to confetti.
Which is just as well.
"Hell." Overclock returns the smirk. "You've never actually seen mine. Anyway..." Now that he's had a moment to collect his thoughts, he says: "I want you to know, that, pretty much no matter what, I see you as a Maverick. Not as..." He makes a pfft sound. "A human being. And I think the same of anything I build, and I want you to think the same of me. I'm not your enemy."
Dr. Doppler opens his eyes once more. His eyes are green, but they have always been that particular shade of hazel. "You have earned my trust," he answers. "You have shown that you understand what it is to be Maverick."
Overclock nods. Kind of glad that's over with. "Thanks. Now all I gotta do is wait until Vile warms up to me." He laughs. ...Not a chance in hell.
Dr. Doppler reaches for his cane. "I am first against the wall the moment the last human dies," Doppler says. Either he's joking, or fully serious. He levers himself to his feet. "I trust that you will remain my doctor. I notice that you respect my privacy."
Overclock has felt that, too, lately, so, he emphasizes. But yet, something in him doesn't mind. If he hasn't transcended humanity by that victory day, then, he probably deserves to die. He nods. "Well. Yeah. It's what you gotta do. Though you know. I'm not really a doctor....really. Will fix that someday. Not sure how from here, though. I guess it doesn't matter."
Dr. Doppler steps back over to the drafting table. He still needs the cane to keep his balance, though he is slowly beginning to rely less upon it. "How much schooling have you had?"
"Two years tech," says Overclock, shrugging. "Doubled with med. A summer in a hospital." He thinks. "I guess it's really only about halfway to a degree. I had a lot of interruptions." The cyborg turns his left arm upside-down, and taps it with his right hand, basically, his way of pointing out he had an equipment accident. Of course it was never really an accident.
Dr. Doppler gives a small nod. "Trainable, then." He sits back down in his chair, automatically hooking the cane on the windowsill. "Building a reploid is good practice for you."
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Iris says, "<< Father, how are you feeling? >>"
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission to Iris: Dr. Doppler whispers, "< I have company. >"
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Iris says, "<< Oh! Okay. Talk to you later, bye! >>"
"It's a step up. I couldn't do it alone." A pause. "Yet. I won't worry you with that stuff anyway. They say there are programs Reploids can do to pull out degrees. Even if, um, Chris's credits don't transfer." He pauses, not used to using that name very often. "I can pull it through eventually."
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox ...starts whistling that tune from Kill Bill again.
[Radio: (D) Public] Techno transmits, "UGH! Please SHUT UP. Old movies bore me."
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox transmits, "..What movie? I'm just whistlin'."
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox starts up again.
Dr. Doppler vaguely remembers that name. Much of that night is a blur. Which is just as well, considering. "Hands-on experience is also very useful. You will need to learn. You may need to do things for me for now." He holds out his right hand, palms down. The tips of his fingers still show a faint tremor. "I know my limits."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Why aren't you dead?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Just tune it out. It's not hard."
[Radio: (D) Public] Techno transmits, "Oooh, hey Bass!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Hey, Bass. Nice to hear you not all preachy and gothy."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Thank you. I feel much better."
[Radio: (D) Public] Techno transmits, "That's good.. good, so, how was the first night?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox transmits, "Who's to say I'm not? Heeheehee..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Yeah, whatever. Anyway, Techno, uneventful. I spent most of it being fixed."
[Radio: (D) Public] Sewa transmits, "Um, you're talking?"
Overclock nods, just one nod. He isn't sure when that funcationality will come back, either, but overall Doppler seems much better than he did before he left. Which makes him feel better too. "Yeah, most of my real stuff is hands-on, that's why I can do it. ...Trial and error, I guess. Same reason I wanted to start building reploids. You did pull Gray together without much trouble, though, so you can't need it THAT much."
[Radio: (D) Public] Vile, along with the sound of explosions and gunfire, "It has been some time, Force Commander."
[Radio: (D) Public] Shield transmits, "So you're back to your old self, Bass? That is good."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "It has, General Vile. It has indeed. You never visited me in the cage."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "And I believe I am ... better than before."
[Radio: (D) Public] Vile transmits, "On the contrary, I took you to Tartarus. The time I gave you King's axe. Sigma was strict with who was able to see you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Shield transmits, "Oh. Well in that case, you'll understand if I'm not pleased to hear that."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Mm? Oh. Yes, there was that outing, of course, but you should have come by more often. Watching Wire Sponge work is like watching fleas copulate."
Dr. Doppler is no longer ranting to himself, speaking to a voice only he could hear. This in itself is an improvement.
"No physical work was left," Doppler says. "Only compiling his neural-net."
[Radio: (D) Public] Wire Sponge transmits, "Hey! That's not nice."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "But you're so /dull/. Hardly anything ever exploded."
[Radio: (D) Public] Wire Sponge transmits, "That's because, unlike Wily, I do things right! Old Men should not play God. Only the mechanical superiority should do it."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Explosions are far too much work to clean up."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "I suppose I'm just accustomed to that Old Wily Spirit."
[Radio: (D) Public] Cracker Kitsune, not Blaze Fox transmits, "Cooking is so fun-'tsu! Cooking is so fun-'tsu! Now it's time to take a break and see what we have done-'tsu!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Cracker Kitsune, not Blaze Fox transmits, "...YAY! It's ready-'tsu!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "...good GOD, is it even possible? Something /more/ annoying than Blaze Fox?!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox transmits, "..Hm? NODON'TDOTHA-"
[Radio: (D) Public] Blaze Fox *BOMB*
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Eww. I'll tune that voice frequency out, too."
"I should try training with him," says Overclock. He stands up again. "Always love new designs. I'm glad you didn't, er, mind my taking a look, anyway. I'll tell Sigma and the rest you're good to go."
[Radio: (D) Public] Techno transmits, "Hum dee doo."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "This is clearly all the Mavericks' fault."
[Radio: (D) Public] Techno transmits, "Hear, hear!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "I'm forced to concur."
"You had every reason to do so," Doppler replies. "I was not myself. You did not know if I would return. Still, since I am here, I would like it if you stay away from my little side projects. I like something to call my own." A pause. "Yes. Tell the Emperor that I await his command."
Overclock nods. Works for him. He doesn't really want Doppler to even go to his main lab, either, unless he really asked to. "I think we'd all deflate without side projects."
Speaking of, now, to head out and see what Wire was up to.

Condition of Doppler Wed Aug 25 Overclock
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Report: Update
I did a complete scan of Dr. Doppler after his return from the Repliforce. They apparently did tamper with him, or at least try to, but everything I set up in him is intact. Currently, he's in good health.
I've given him clearance to move around again. He knows his limits physically right now, and I think he'll handle himself accordingly. He doesn't want another scare like this, either.

Noticable Medbay Changes Mon Aug 23 Wire Sponge
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There is something different in the medbay. In the very far corner of the medical bay there is a set of curtains cutting of sight to anything on this particular medical bed. There is a sign posted on the entry way:
ONLY UNITS OVERCLOCK AND WIRE SPONGE BEYOND THIS POINT. (Ask for permission before entering curtains. It is required unless you want to be severely reprimanded.)

[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "It would be about right for the intellectual level of this channel most of the time."
[Radio: (D) Public] Guts Man transmits, "You know you're a Redploid when you're designed after a NASCAR."
[Radio: (D) Public] There's a click. Then there's a very loud static. Like a radio being hooked up to a series of amplifiers. A cough rings out and echos for a moment... Then /it/. It is horrible. Painful. In triplicate. Painful, off sync triplicate no less. "AHWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!BURNTOTHEGROUND!

[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana coughs. "Hynard?"
[Radio: (D) Public] There's a silence for a moment... Then a loud, singular. "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate can't resist snickering.
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "If there's a Coalition flag in the back of your pickup hovertruck ... you might be a Redploid."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Professor?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "Yes, Doctor?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Yes, Doctor?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "You'll need to be more specific, Doppler, there are two of us on here."

[Radio: (D) Public] Dust Man transmits, "He was obviously talking to me."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Are there any channels with actual /intellect/ left? My classical channel has gone missing."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "Probably not. Perhaps we should start one."

[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "There are so few these days."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Tune your reciever to 180.04, Doctor. That's the classical station I always listen to."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Mid-twenty first century music is not classical."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard is grinning. You just can't see it. "YOUNEEDSOMETHINGBANEOFALLTHATWHOLESOMEBERKANA?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "I thought she already /was/ the bane of all that's wholesome...."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "You're a few numbers off if that's what you're getting. It's all 19th century orcestral."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Yes. A Redploid."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Charming title. Like father like son after all. At any rate..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "I'll make you a deal. Never do that again, and I'll never mention Gate's assless chaps again. Agree?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "I've already made posters, Berkana."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Will somebody /please/ pay me to kill Flame Hyenard? I'll take very little."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "I'm going to mail them straight to Hyenard."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "AUGH MY BRAIN."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "For instance: if you think Taco Bell is Neo Arcadia's phone system, you might be a Redploid."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "And then he can feast his eyes on all my violet glory."
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "I'll give you a six-pack of WilyBeer, Dynamo. Chilled."
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "Anyways, they're technicly breaking contract, so punishment must be doled out."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "If your living space still has the `Wide Load' banner on the back, you might be a Redploid. Or Berkana's closet."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "...Oooh, that's a deathwish right there."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "Isn't that a le'engere store? If it isn't, it should be. It rings."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "BERKANAYOUSEEWHATICANDOLIVEGOATBEERCANLIFESIZEBASSFIGURINE?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Hmm. Berkana's Closet. A le'engere store for Broad Reploids."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "We could see this working."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Make it so."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Bass, where are you? I want to know what network hub to NOT be in when she nukes everything within a thousand miles of you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Sewa tsks a little.
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "I guess we know at least one girl to consult for fashion matters."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "I didn't know she was Russian."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Aqua Man?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "Oh, yeah, he might work, too."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "I don't destroy wontonly. I'm very precise."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Well, I wanna be on the safe side."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Oh, I'm inside."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "I'm calling your ass out, Hyenard. You offend me."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Ooo. I want to watch!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Sewa transmits, "I think his...uh."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Good evening, Sewa."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "where"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "OOC"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "OOC :oop. AND FAILURE"
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "WHYWASTEMYTIMEYOU?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Oh SURE. You'll waste time on /me/, but not him?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "YOUHAVEHEART.WHATIKEEPFROMHIM?UGLYFACE?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Because you're an offense to my senses. You're a loud, boorish lout, and I really can't stand listening to you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "SUCKBEYOUDONIT?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Sewa transmits, "Oh, uh, hey Doppler."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "Sorry, I already made my heart donation for the month."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "(mis. D'oh)"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "You disgrace what little good name this profession has, and more to the point, I find you /intensely/ annoying. You're a failure as a Mercenary, even if you do side with Red."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Well, he killed lots of rice paper UN power armors."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "That should count for /something/."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "This is slowly turning from amusing to just plain dull."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Who is talking to /you/, woman?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Quick! Someone make it interesting!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Count for something, eh? Maybe."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "(I would fight you Dynamo..but I don't have time tonight)"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Well, Madam Leviathan, if they are in fact made out of rice paper as you say, then destroying any number of them isn't really an acheivement, now is it?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I didn't say it counted for MUCH."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "OOC: I've got a contract out for you. ;)"
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Someone must have lost their radio in a farm, because I could'a swore I just heard a big fat pig."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "(For a sixpack of beer?)"
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission to Gate: You say, "Professor."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "OOC: No."
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Gate says, "Yes?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "(Interesting)"
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "OOC Cheapskate."
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "Oink? How crude."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits. "Interesting? Are you wearing any underwear, Fairy? Fey? We might as well start surveying." "Not your target audience. You need to ask Armored Armadillo." (shudder)
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Tsk tsk Gemini. Such a question to ask publicly."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, ".. Don't call me that when I'm logged in."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "It is times like this that I almost miss that fool DeVry."
[Radio: (D) Public] Durandal transmits, "Aww, don't worry 'bout him, Miss Fairy, he says lewd, crude, and stupid things all the time."
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "Such insolence. Gemini Man, you need to discipline your son."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "We'll mark that as 'no, and, no.'"
[Radio: (D) Public] Durandal HAs. "Like he can, Ra."
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "That piece of Rigger-trash ain't our son."
[Radio: (D) Public] Pharaoh Man transmits, "Who keeps /doing/ that!?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "...Ah! I didn't even give you an answer, don't put that down!"
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission to Gate: You say, "I must still serve the Emperor."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dust Man transmits, "..So, Fey is really fat?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "I am not."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "All girls on the internet are fat, Dust Man."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "If your creator has claimed a paternity suit against Dr. Wily more than once -- you might be a Redploid."
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Gate says, "That is, of course, your choice, Doppler."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan laughs.
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "I'm /not/ fat."
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dust Man transmits, "That explains these pictures of Hamburger Heffer I keep getting in my e-mail."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "...Wait. Why do I care what you think? You're Robot Masters."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "And /now/ it dawns on her."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "We're just kidding. You CAN answer the question."
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink, oink, oink, oink!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dust Man transmits, "I mean... I didn't know they made reploids that wide..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I want a rematch from you sometime, Gemini. That solid holographics system of yours is impressive to say the least."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Just call me Override when I'm accessing cyberspace."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey's voice IS completely different when she's connected, after all.
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man OOC Yeah, but you announced your name yesterday, and I like the duality of Fairy and Fey on at the same time. :)
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey OOC Number revealed it a week or so ago, actually. :D
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "We're usually available for a rematch."
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan OOC >_>
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission to Gate: Dr. Doppler slips into german. "<Death is no longer the better choice. Though I fear I will not be able to give my information so freely.>"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Sometime soon then, Gemini. I want to make sure I'm prepared."
[Radio: (D) Public] "Oink, oink, oink, oi--OOOWW!!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Vanishing Gungaroo transmits, "...Okay, who the Heck weft a banana on the fwoor in the kitchen!?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man laughs.
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "So where is Erwin these days? I haven't heard him insult my intelligence all week."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "If your family tree includes Gate /and/ Berkana ... you might be a Redploid."
[Radio: (D) Public] Flame Hyenard transmits, "....THATSOFITTINGINSOMANYWAYS."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Says he that can claim at least three fathers."
[Radio: (D) Public] Vanishing Gungaroo transmits, "...Was it /you/, Fwame!?"
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Gate replies in German. <What are you talking about, Doppler? ... Are you in trouble?>
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Out of curiosity, who /else/ is responsible for that mess?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Red Alert, you mean? Just Gate, I didn't have my hands in any of them accept Red."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "You feeling better, Finhead?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Hi Norm. Yes, I'm much better, thank you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "I have only one creator. The other influences have been tidily purged."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Handy."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "...Wait, Berkana. You helped build Red?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "Ah, good to hear. You gonna be back to random acts of mega-villainy any time soon or will I be stuck with street thugs for a while longer?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "Red is Berkana's and my son, yes."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "You can't purge experience from yourself. It's not possible. It is with you and always will be."
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission to Gate: You say, "< Sigma is concerned for my well-being. I suspect I will not be able to go anywhere without a proper escort. >"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "You are bizarre, Red."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "So THAT'S the reason he never shuts up!"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "Actually, an android can purge experience if that's what the Doc wants."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "I can understand familial relationships, but why put them upon yourself? You're not human."
[Radio] Tightbeam radio transmission: Gate says, "<At least he cares.>"
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "I swear. The only reploid that talks more is Sigma."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "You speak in absolutes a great deal, Berkana. You would think that past experience would have taught you that very few things in this reality are totally one way or another."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "OOC: I mean Gate"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "I have been ... cleansed. The choir no longer sings. There is now only my voice."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "I suppose I could take the stance of being a cold, distant, clinical creator of reploids, but I chose not to, Dynamo."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "That sounds lonely to us. But, whatever blows your hair back."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass feels compelled to answer with the countersign: "What could possibly go wrong?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "We all take to fatherhood differently."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "I actually found speaking with Forte interesting."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Hrmp. How impudent. But you /do/ remember what the 'choir' sounds like. You remember it's exsistance. Where or not you can still hear it, it HAS changed you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "And then there are those of us who don't take to fatherhood at all."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "In an entirely different manner of interesting than speaking with you is at other times."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "... You know, I asked that same question right before I tried yelling at Neptune, Bass. And I got impaled. With a harpoon made of water."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "They are my creations. My children. And I am their father. It is the closest to understanding - being - human, that I will ever come to."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Changed, yes. I remember being flawed. Now I am pure. I know what path not to take."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Amusing. Everything about you can be changed on an outside whim, and you're locked into it, as if nothing had ever happened."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Yes. Sigma's embrace changes you."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "Your Purpose set, your mind pure..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "It does, doesn't it ... /Sigmund/."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Caress the air, embrace the skies?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "You too, Leviathan?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Yes. I understand its purpose now."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "I've simply never understood the familial relationship of reploid to reploid progeny. It's a human custom... I'm no human."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I happen to like that song, Prismatic."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "He sings to you at night, when his tendrils are snaking through your mind, flensing the strength from your will. It sounds like a dirge."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "How fitting."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "What the hell are you talking about?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "I happen to be more interested in humanity these days, Dynamo."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "You might sympathize if you knew why."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Yes."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Yes, your almighty given purpose, Bass. I suppose that it is to destory Rock, hrmm? And you accuse me of absolutes...at least my absolutes mean something in the long term."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "In the end, Forte was his entrance, and Forte was his tomb.../mean/ something, Berkana?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Indeed."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "Don't get Bass started on meaning."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Given time you will see clear, given time you'll understand, what possesses me, to right what you have suffered. I'm in this mood, because of scorn, I'm in a mood for total war, to the darkened skies once more, and ever onward. o/~"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Mm. That's a catchy song."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Dark Angel, is the name."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "A very old song."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "But the oldies are goodies sometime."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "The world will be cleansed with fire and ice. Such is the Emperor's dream. I know you have seen it, Bass."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "And yet, where is the target of Bass' Purpose? Mega Man still lives a live of peace amidst the maelstrom."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "The problem, Berkana, is that there is no end to your work. The plague will evolve and twist in your hands. Curing one form will only make the beast evolve to another. It may take decades, or centuries, for you to outpace it -- and what then? What have you really done, beyond proving yourself a capable mechanic? No, my Purpose is more reaching than that. It is an absolute which requires the universe of man to bend."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Playin' the flesh organ, Gate? Figures."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, ".... That, sir, is disgusting,."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "...Ew?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Thank you. I do try."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass writes something down.
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Blame Alpha... she's got me looking up different ways to say things. I couldn't help but buy the dirty book along with the cute one."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan hmmms.
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "You condemn human actions. Yet, you have a 'girlfriend.'"
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I need to slake my thirst for violence."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "I wonder how tough your firewall is, Fairy."
[Radio: (D) Public] Alpha giggles a little quietly.
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I wonder how tough your skin is."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "And how easily it comes off."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "If I kill you, can I wear it?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "I wonder if the nacho place is still open."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Wily transmits, "Nachos? WHere?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Doctor, we require nachos."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "Which nacho place?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "You can't kill me where I fight."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Norm, you can come too."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Wily transmits, "Indeed we do."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "Which reminds me..."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Guten Abend, Albert."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Wily transmits, "Sigmund! Finally managed to get home, eh?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "So, you'll kill Mega Man and then that will prove that you are capable of surviving and outlasting a peer. Sadly, Bass, the single celled organism has already beaten you to it, along with a few others."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I'm not going to where you fight, 'Override'."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dr. Doppler transmits, "Yes, yes. Home, alive and whole."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I like the /real/ world."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "You really know very little about me. But that suits you, so I will not disturb it."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Then I'll just sit here and poke at your firewall. I'm not interested in breaking it. Not yet. It's just ... hmm, professional curiosity."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "Bass, is this you I'm fighting in Cyberspace, or is this some wannabe copy?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "Hm? No, I don't find cyberspace very interesting."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "If there is more to know, then tell me of it. I'm honestly curious. And besides, I hate to be ignorant of things if I can help it otherwise."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "Figures."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gate transmits, "It's not him, I think. Bass isn't given to going 'rarr I will defeat you!'."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "And I don't EVER see him singing YMCA, complete with costuming."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Where is this, Prismatic?"
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "Honestly, did you really have to ask, Prismatic? You can't go to a single network without finding an avatar patterned after Rock, Bass, or Zero."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "This one has it out for me, I'm afraid."
[Radio: (D) Public] Dynamo transmits, "Hello, Alpha. And yes, Gemini Man, I have a girlfriend. Alpha is female, and I do love her. Love is an emotion. True parenthood is exclusive to humanity."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Love is overrated, and always will be until I find some for myself."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "It is not sufficient to kill Mega Man. Any fool with a pistol can kill someone. I have killed many people in my time. I must kill the idea: I must destroy the essence of what Mega Man is. I must turn him into me and then, and only then, squeeze the life from his body."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "That always seems to be how it works anyway."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "I see. Well, good luck with that, he's winning. And by a large margin, if I see things correctly."
[Radio: (D) Public] Crash Override Fey transmits, "Ah well."
[Radio: (D) Public] Gemini Man transmits, "Actually, he retired."
[Radio: (D) Public] Berkana transmits, "And that, Gemini, is why he is winning."
[Radio: (D) Public] Bass transmits, "`Winning' ... heh, you really don't see it. You don't understand what the idea of Mega Man really is. I suggest you read some classic literature."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "Corruption of the pure. Bass, you have such style."
[Radio: (D) Public] Fairy Leviathan transmits, "I /like/ it."
[Radio: (D) Public] Prismatic Spider transmits, "Oh, this one tracked me down through the Southern Cross networks. He's rather insistant on trying to destroy me. As if he thinks he has something to prove."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "I still say he has more style with the lime-green leisure suit than without."
[Radio: (D) Public] Norman Cassidy transmits, "Although, I do admit the disco ball was a bit much."
[Radio: (D) Public] Ebony Fox transmits, "Pardon?"
